Nate Juncer is an interdisciplinary artist based in Chicago. His work examines the dynamic relationships of human thought, emotion, and physicality. Such ideas are expressed in a contemporary interpretation of traditional making methods and materials. Cutting, stitching, stretching, and painting are core elements in his work. His mark-making and choice of material play with and re-imagine the lines of drawing, painting, and sculpture. These processes and gestures converge creating a physical object bound by time and space. Through the imagination of the viewer and the common human threads that bind, these constraints can be overcome.
