Nate Juncer is a Chicago-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the complex relationships between thought, spirit, and physicality. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2005 to 2009, Nate turned to painting as a critical means of processing his experiences. This shift ultimately led him to Columbia College Chicago, where he received his BFA in 2016. 

 

His work is grounded in a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional materials. Nate’s process-driven practice involves cutting, stitching, stretching, tearing, and taping. By reimagining the boundaries of drawing, painting, and sculpture, he connects ideas of the past, present, and future, focusing on the shared memory and resilience of the human spirit. His layered gestures invite viewers to engage directly with the physicality of the art and the passage of time.
